Introduction

Hi Guys!! Let me start by introducing myself. I am Anisha Gonsalves from Dubai. I have been serving the Airline Industry for almost 16 years now. I belong to the category where work is worship. Loved my job and adored it. However, 2020 has got me thinking differently.

How it all began?

“2020!!!” What a year? Covid-19 had taken a toll on everyone’s life. There was chaos every single day of our life. Covid-19 had spread so much that every country started going on lockdown. Then on 19th March 2020, UAE decided to close all incoming & outgoing flights. A few days later, all were asked to go on lockdown. There was chaos everywhere. This meant for us to be digitally ready to work from home. Were we ready? Whether we were or not, adaption was necessary.

How I got Introduced to the Digital World

Three months working from home has got me wondering. What would life be like without Digital advances? Would we be able to survive the challenges that had come our way? The world had come to a standstill. However, this did not stop people. People started making their own YouTube channel, TikTok videos, etc. Frankly, I cannot imagine living life now without digital advances.

What is in this for me?

lt all started when a friend of mine started talking to me about her joining the Digital Marketing Course. This got me quite inquisitive, wondering what is in this for me. If I had what was needed to go through this course. She then explained the features of the internship and its advantages. Me having a personality of self-doubt, needed an extra push to get me thinking. She invited me to watch the live Webinar with Digital InnoMind and then decide.

The Live Webinar — Deciding Stage

On Thursday, 8th October 2020–7.30 pm, the Live Webinar began. Sayed Noorul, the Chief Digital Strategist of InnoMind Digital Academy, introduces himself at the Live Webinar. Accompanying him was his partner Sumit Balan. There were about 30 attendees. Sayed explained the features and what’s the course about. They ensured to answer all queries and concerns of every attendee. After this webinar, I was surely mesmerized by the way he introduced this entire course. The idea of a paid internship while you are learning got me into the groove. I decided to take the plunge. I immediately registered for the course the next morning.

The First Step

It’s finally Saturday, 10th October 2020. Lots of thoughts in my head. I am filled with excitement and nervousness. Excited because I was starting the course; however, equally nervous because managing an office, home, kids, and also studies would be challenging.

Online Studies

I joined the Zoom meeting at 7.30pm. However, the webinar started a bit later than the scheduled time. This session was all about making the Funnels, TOFU, MOFU, and BOFU.

What Are Tofu, Mofu, and Bofu & How Do I Use Them?

Tofu, Mofu, and Bofu

He started introducing us to the Funnels, Tofu, Mofu, and Bofu. Funny as it may sound, it got me attentively listening.

Tofu: Top of the Funnel Stage — Awareness Stage

Tofu or awareness stage buyers are people who do not yet know about your business, so Tofu content is designed to get their attention where they are most likely to see it. This might be a social media ad or search ad, a social media post, a short video, or a content partnership.

Mofu: Middle of the Funnel Stage — Consideration Stage

The goal of Mofu content is to deepen this relationship by educating the customer about their problem and solution. A small existing relationship with your customer to move to the next stage.

Bofu: Bottom of the Funnel Stage — Decision Stage

At this sales funnel stage, your buyer understands their problem, has selected their solution and is now looking for a particular product.

After Purchase / Customer Evangelist

A brand evangelist is a person who believes in your product or service so fervently that he or she aggressively promotes it to others

Assignments:

Finally, we got our first-week assignment; we had to create our first blog and make a mind map. A lot of information for week one but, thanks to the recordings, we can actually go back and refer to them.

Learning & Sharing:

Learning along with so many people from different walks of life is an experience of a lifetime. With InnoMind, we have the possibilities of learning from our Mentors as well as learning along with the group. We can share our concerns, queries, learnings within the Facebook Group, or even the WhatsApp group.
